Create Load API allows authorized users to create a new load for tracking. It is ideally called after the carrier has accepted the tender for the load.

This API is called after the carrier has accepted the tender for the load. FourKites does not limit customers from creating more than one load with the same load number or PRO number -- creation of more than one load with the same load or PRO number will cause duplication of loads, which will end up affecting the tracking performance. Customers are advised to handle this on their side. To learn more about Idempotency Protection, refer here.
If you receive a server error (5xx error code), please try again a few times. It's best to wait a little longer between each retry attempt. Try at least 3-5 times before giving up, as many server issues resolve themselves quickly.

FourKites does not limit customers from creating more than one load with the same load number or PRO number. When making POST requests to create a load, please ensure that it is the first time that a specific load number has been used to create a load. If multiple POST requests are made with the same data, FourKites will generate duplicate loads
For the European Rail road, the wagonNumber field must be used instead of the railEquipmentInitials and railEquipmentNumberfields as European standards for naming/identifying rail equipment are different than other regions. If your organization intends to track rail shipments in Europe, please contact your Implementation Manager and request that European rail tracking be enabled along with the usage of this field.
