Once you have access to the platform, you can follow the [FourKites Knowledge Base](https://support-fourkites.force.com/hc/s/article/FourKites-Developer-Portal) on API key management to generate keys.

There could be a few API endpoints that might need separate enablement due to being an add-on subscription (Eg: [Insights APIs](https://app.archbee.com/docs/h5D8iruxzP2MfrhxgErvS/sdyqB_5A7AVDXws7sWlFZ)) or being migrated from the legacy platform (Eg: [Ocean Booking API](https://app.archbee.com/docs/h5D8iruxzP2MfrhxgErvS/R1v07rN0h7rzlRRzkI2K2)).

Kindly raise a support query on our [Customer Support portal](https://fourkites.my.site.com/hc/s/) for any additional support.

### Authentication

Most APIs use API keys to authenticate requests. Each request requires an API key in order to authenticate. Below is an example cURL request showing the basic structure of an API call:

```json
curl --location -g --request POST 'https://api-staging.fourkites.com/api/v1/tracking' \
--header 'apikey: API_KEY' \
--header 'Content-Type: application/json' \
--data-raw '{}'
```
